Sandy Sowell's expertise is definitively audience-participation events. Her experience includes 10 years as owner of Charleston's only singing telegram service, 5 years as lead singer in West Virginia's most popular musical group "The Putnam County Pickers", and manager for Stark Raven - an eclectic original music show band that toured for 9 years.
Sandy has performed in three international USO tours in Europe, Africa, the Mediterranean and Caribbean; she was manager for Miss Black America; and has played the lead role in several Light Opera Guild productions...EVITA, GYPSY and MAME.
In 1990, Sandy introduced Karaoke to West Virginia. In 1995 Sandy started her most popular show to date... Game Show Mania. Since 2000, she has partnered with the West Virginia Lottery producing six to ten shows a year for the Retailer Appreciation Rallies that the West Virginia Lottery sponsors at various locations around the state of West Virginia. The West Virginia Lottery receives extremely positive feedback from the Retailers about Game Show Mania and, each year, the number of people who attend is increased. The West Virginia Lottery also contracts with Sandy Sowell Entertainment to produce other shows at the West Virginia State Fair for WV Lottery Day.
In 2004-2005, the West Virginia Lottery sponsored a series of contests called "Karaoke Star." Sandy Sowell Entertainment emceed the four day event and produced the sound, lights, video, and karaoke equipment. In addition, because of her effervescent personality and easy communication skills with the general public, Sandy Sowell was contracted by the West Virginia Lottery to appear in television commercials as "Powerball Woman".
In the past 10 years, she has added Giant Twisted, Speed Pitch, Carnival Games, Horse Racin' Game, Antique Sideshow, DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) and Guitar Hero.
For many years, Sandy has traveled to Caribbean to various Sandals resorts as a consultant for her Game Show Mania.
